The Artisans Group has broken ground on their 1st Passive House!

The Artisan's Group has broken ground on their first Passive House in Olympia, WA.  I will be visiting this site and posting more information and some pictures in October as part of my unofficial West Coast Passive House Tour.

Tessa Smith, fellow Certified Passive House Consultant, and designer extraordinaire of the project posted a very eager update on a PHNW thread yesterday "I am excited to report we had our project on the front page of The Olympian and a handful of other papers yesterday!  It was then picked up by NPR, they even gave a brief description of the Passive House approach, I promise I didn't jump up and down a squeal like a child, but I have been known to lie about such things...."  Tessa is just being modest, I am sure a youtube video of her doing cartwheels will be released soon!  ;-)  Click here to see details of their first project that is Passive House as well as Built Green Level 5.

If you are near the Olympia area, you can tour the site as part of the Olympia Master Builder's tour on October 2-3 & 9-10 from 11:00 am- 5:00 pm and the address is 1114 Marion Street NE . Olympia, WA.
